Work Health and Safety Representatives – 5 days
This is the major Comcare accredited WHS representatives course available to federal public sector agencies and non-Commonwealth government licensees. The course enables persons conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU) to meet their training obligations under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011. The course is paid for by the PCBU and is open to anyone meeting the eligibility requirements.
Training is currently conducted in Sydney and Melbourne, with Canberra training conducted on a needs basis - please email the WHS Coordinator for further information.
To enrol, print out a copy of the relevant enrolment form and fax it to the number on the form.
Refresher Course - 1 day
The 1 day course is designed to refresh and update you in the current WHS legislation and functions and powers of the Health and Safety representative (HSR) whilst giving a review of the role of an HSR. The course is participative and interactive. A schedule of courses is offered each year and is open to anyone who has previously completed the Initial 5 day WHS training. Shared Advantage will be required to sight the original certificate to enrol in the course.
WHS for Managers & Supervisors – 2 days
Your organisation may have trained health and safety representatives, but how many of your managers are familiar with their role under the WHS Act? This popular short course will ensure that managers clearly understand your organisation's duty of care and legal obligations under the WHS Act.
Commonwealth Manual Handling Course – 1 day
This course is designed for health and safety representatives, supervisors and managers, workers and anyone who may be involved in hazardous manual tasks. The course will identify legislative responsibilities, recognising hazards and implementing control measures with regard to manual handling.

We can design seminars to address hazards that may be of specific relevance to your work environment. We have special expertise in the area of office based hazards - lifting and carrying, screen based equipment, air conditioning and stress.
